Functions Of Interim Prison Board :
Prisons Authority Interim Board
A Prisons Authority Interim Board was established in 1999. The first board was appointed by the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform in 2000.
The Interim Board meets approximately six times per year and provides advice and guidance in the management of the prison system to the Director General and directors of the IPS.
