Newstalk Breakfast Show, 14 June 2012 - DVD Dads from Castlerea Prison.

DVD Dads is a project run in Castlerea Prison, Co. Roscommon. The project involves prisoners being recorded reading popular bedtime stories or poems for their children. The recording are are made into DVDs which the prisoners can give to their children at Christmas or Fathers Day. The children can then play the DVD at bedtime.

Shona Murray visited Castlerea Prison to meet with the prisoners and staff involved in the project. She also met with the wife of a prisoner whose children had received a DVD.

RTÉ Arts Tonight: Art Education in Prisons

RTÉ's 'Arts Tonight' with Vincent Woods focused on art education in prisons in Ireland.

The programme visited open prison Loughan House, Co. Cavan, to speak to prisoners and staff about their experience of art in prison.
