Communications and Information Unit

The Communications and Information Unit operates as part of the Staff and Corporate Service Directorate of the Irish Prison Service. The Unit includes the Media Relations; Internal and External Communications; Press and Media; and Statistics and Information.

The Unit provide a service to the print and broadcast media on behalf of the Irish Prison Service.

The Press Office also operates an out-of-hours on-call service for urgent media queries in relation to Prison Service issues.
