The Virtual Prison Tour aims to demystify the operations of the Irish Prison Service by offering an immersive, web-based experience that guides users through a prison environment using interactive 360° visuals and informative audio-visual overlays.

This initiative follows the Criminal Justice Sectoral Strategy 2022 – 2024 commitment to increase public awareness and understanding of the criminal justice system, develop a structured form of engagement with our key stakeholders to support the development of services and the formulation of policy.
